Design
Council submission and certification
Once you have a complete drafted design, Century Design & Build can submit all the required documents to your local council for approval. Once the proposal is approved by council, it can then be moved on to a certifier for a construction certificate. After a construction certificate is acquired from the certifier, construction on your new project can begin.
Building projects
Century Design & Build is a licenced building company, we are licenced and insured to deliver residential building projects from set out and excavation, through to completion.

Who is Joe Rysko?
Hi, I’m Joe, after completing Year 12, I started a carpentry apprenticeship with my old man, Joe Senior. After finishing my apprenticeship, I went out on my own and built up a carpentry business over five years. It grew steadily, but I hit a ceiling – I could only take on so much as a licensed carpenter.
So, I made the call to put a pause on my business and spent the next two and a half years working for a high-end builder on the Central Coast, NSW. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of the industry and the confidence to apply for my builder’s licence. I then spent another year and a half supervising residential construction work, gaining even more knowledge and understanding.
Eventually, I decided it was time to take everything I’d learned – the hard work, the mistakes, the wins – and build something of my own. That’s how Century Design & Build came to life.
I’m more passionate about construction now than I’ve ever been. I love being outdoors, building things that last, and creating homes that people will enjoy for years to come. If you’re looking for a builder who knows the National Construction Code, and Australian Standards inside out, who values the truth (even when it’s uncomfortable), and who genuinely cares more about doing the right thing than chasing a quick profit – please reach out.
